cannot remove material with extrude removal
I am new so this may not be the best approach, I am trying to remove a section of a revolve with an extrude.
It shows in red exactly what I want to happen but it cannot complete it.
What do I need to do to fix this?

If you change extrude2 to 'new' then your cut will work.
then 'boolean' your parts back together at the end.
