Why can't I invoke section viewing while comparing versions?

Did someone forget to add it?
Or is there a good reason for not allowing it that escapes me at the moment?

    Compare is super limited... just saying

    Need the section view in the compare function to evaluate wall thicknesses after changing dimensions.  This is critical for parts that have remaining material for post heat treatment grinding.
