Split Feature - Missing Item

After splitting the wing bellow in the Y axis, the boolean unite operation does not work, the bottom part of the wing shows up as "missing item".
Any ideas of how to solve this issue?

    Please file a bug using "?" menu.

    This was supposed to be fixed in 1.119 per the change log. I hope this is an isolated occurrence.
    1. Fixed a specific issue where edges of part show as “Missing item”

    You could try and extrude your split tool and create a surface to split which intersects your target in one location. I don't think you need boolean.

    Split with sketch is uncontrollable:


    Surface to surface split is more controllable:


    I don't believe you should be boolean an unwanted split:
