I cannot dimension the slot; dimension tool not working.

    I have followed the instructions to no avail.

    Dimension tool is working fine - make sure you are a) editing the sketch and b) clicking the geometry then placing the dim

    Thanks for replying, but what do you mean by "editing the sketch". Aren't we always drawing and editing at the same time? Please explain a) and b) more clearly.

    If the sketch is active then there should be a sketch dialog box showing. Since you are pressing the dimension icon you must already be in an active sketch. Just remember with the dimension tool you click and let go of the mouse button, then move your cursor away and click again to place it.
