Is there a limit to how many planes i can have on part?

halie_harveyhalie_harvey Member Posts: 2
I am working on an ornament design and have many planes set up. I noticed that I needed more planes and when I made them they did not register correctly. They show up just fine on the drawing but I am unable to apply any sketches to them. Any help or ideas?

No limit - if you have too many planes, then there may be a better way to model the part. You can also select the planes from the feature list if it's easier.

When making a sketch on the side of a part, you don’t have to use the plane tool. You can select the face of a part and then select a sketch tool and that face will act as your sketch plane

This can make your sketch a bit less cluttered, as you won’t have to view the planes.

You can also ghost the planes you’re not using at that time
