At some point, we'll need to let people figure out their homework assignments by themselves.

My suggestion:  Make a 1.5x3.62x2.0" solid and "Extrude | Remove" everything that doesn't look like the part.

When approaching a model in this style of CAD program.

Imagine you have a big block of Styrofoam
Imagine you take a pencil and mark what needs to be removed if you were using a knife
Imagine using a knife to cut away the areas you don't want.
Keep looking at it one cut at a time until you arrive at your final shape.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now draw your rectangle box in cad and extrude to create a solid cube.
Now create sketches on the same faces you imagined you sketched your pencil marks.
Then use features like extrude/revolve/loft to act as your knife cutting away the material.
Keep sketching and cutting until you arrive at your final shape.

In practice you will begin to do it in fewer and fewer steps until you end up with just 1 sketch and two extrudes like dirk did. But there are dozens of ways to model. Don't worry if you did it on 20 steps or 3 when your starting out.
