How to make a semi circle to go onto a square block

I am currently trying to make a door handle opener and i want to add a semi circle onto it but how do you do it. help please

It would help if you added some images in the query, you can also make semicircles by creating full circles, crossing them with a line, all in the same sketch and then using the scissors tool to remove the part of the circle you don't need.
