DXF Is Too Huge to Import?

louis_schoeppachlouis_schoeppach Member Posts: 6
I was trying to emboss a 3d model with some text of a certain font, so I used a technique which has worked for me before, which is to take the black and white png, convert it to DXF and select the areas I wanted to extrude. Unfortunately, when I tried importing it this time, I got an error that said "This operation can not complete because it creates geometry that is beyond the system limit." From what I understand this is an error given when you exceed the limits of the workspace, which are quite large. So I'm wondering how I could scale this file down before importing it?

Thanks!

Have you tried selecting smaller units on the import dialog?
