Pipe with arc's

Hello,
i like to draw a pipe with two 45° Arc's. First i build up the straight pipes, then i rotate the arc's, at least i like to unite all.
Sometimes it works flawless and sometimes only the "arc" will remain as a sphere ...
Why is it so complicated to unite the parts ?

The great thing about a program like Onshape is, it gives you numerous options
Here is another way — by no means the best – but rather, just another option
A desktop user can do this more efficiently
This way takes 2 features
In the sketch I use the —
Line tool
Dimension tool
Tangent arc tool
Tangent constraint
Then I use a custom featurescript called Pipe
The pipe tool is straightforward. Once you install it, you’ll see
Sorry for the jerky GIF. That’s the best I could do on a longer GIF on my iPhone
