Loft ?

I am a recent user of Onshape and learning about the sketching features , but had a problem using the "loft" feature attempting to bridge over two geometric entities to get a smooth surface
curvature. I used the bridging and projected curve features to create loft guides. I would appreciate any suggestions as to how to proceed. Thanks

I used those two curves as PROFILES and NOT as guides. See the picture at the bottom of this post0 -

In this GIF, I did not select either of the curves
This time I tapped on the edges of the parts to use as profiles for the loft

Mr. NeilCooke here is the diagram of the two geometric entinties I tried to loft (Surface curvature ) between.
