Is there a way to tranform a part by reflecting it over a line?

Currently, the mirror feature copies a part and then you have the ability to delete the original. I am wondering if there is a way to keep the original part and translate it by reflection. (This is coming up as an issue because I have a dimension that is referencing the original part, but once it is mirrored and the original part deleted, the part technically does not exist and therefore gives an error for the restraint.)

Mirror outputs a new part. There is no way to morph the original part into its mirrored version while being fully parametric.

There may be a trick to keep it's internal ID, but none of the faces or edge Id's will be preserved.

Are you trying to assemble the part, or is the problem in a part studio? Do you need a left hand and right hand version or do you just need the same part in two different locations? It's not clear from your questions what your goal is.

What do you mean by "gives an error for the restraint"?

Perhaps sharing a public example would make this all more clear...
