notes for codeblock formatting.....
I found that copy&paste out of vscode doesn't format properly using the css code style in this forum.
To get around the issue I:
1. cut & paste the code into a web editor https://www.editpad.org/
2. then download it locally
3. copy the clean code into the forum notes using the css styling "code"
Someone a few weeks ago posted that they couldn't get the codeblock css to work properly. I couldn't get it to work either, but it did work at one time (when using sublime). I've been using vscode for about 2 years now and suspected the cut & paste formatting inside the buffer. Turns out it is their formatting inside the cut&paste buffer, probably a linefeed & printerfeed character at the end of each line.
I read somewhere that microsoft wrote vscode in javascript which is pretty impressive, but holding on to their old mistakes, come on.....
I really don't like file based systems and prefer the cloud. Cloud editors, any good ones?
I found https://www.editpad.org/ but it doesn't have syntax checking. I also like automatic server updating on onchange.
