Extruding left a void on an inside corner, but I need to fill it

Hey y'all, CAD noob here with a basic question. I'm trying to create a stepped hole in a part (did that) but the top and bottom of the part need to be cut at an angle to fit in a recess. When I extrude that aforementioned angular cut, I'm left with a void inside the stepped hole, and I need to fill it so it is not visible from the top or bottom.
Below, you'll find a screenshot of my model as well as a picture of the real-world object I'm trying to emulate. I'm having a hard time coming up with the words for what's going on, so it's hard to search the (very well written) help manual for things that might help. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

Welcome to Onshape and the Forum!
Please share you doc for the best help. See instructions here.
In the meantime - It looks like you just need the wall thickness from the face of the cut. You can add that to the sketch you made for the cut and do another add extrusion with the wall region. See pic below.
Maybe I need to start by drawing the profile of the cutout I need and revolving that instead of trying to extrude it from the square piece. I'm not sure.
Here's the drawing: https://cad.onshape.com/documents/f8972b73dc87f171765dbdc3/w/087252b22ed219cf2305cbae/e/90f85523695764b413a7fdcd
a few possibilities:
1) Lana's example may work for you with a fillet; perhaps larger so you get more wall thickness.
2) You could use a revolve to add a bevel to the inside corner as you hinted at.
3) Here is what I was suggesting to add thickness like I think your original part picture shows. Note I just did one side and rolled back to your bevel extrusion.
