group different sketch curves and lines to only one element

EugenEugen Member Posts: 18 PRO
Hello.
I ve got a number of lines and curves (import dxf) and want to make sure no one move or delete one of the elments.
So it would be usefull to create a group of it. How to do this?
Thank you

If the sketches are "closed", here is what I usually do with imported dxf's that are to be re-used like a logo:
    • Create a separate part studio containing only that sketch.
    • Use Offset surface with a height of 0 to create surfaces of the sketch. This will allow you to easily derive and transform the surfaces to any place that you like.
    • Using the Transform feature, scale your surfaces to the size you want.
    • Place a mate connector in the relevant places on the surface.
    • While inside the part studio you wish to use the sketch, use the Derived feature to derive the surfaces to the current studio. (These surfaces can be used in place of a sketch for most purposes.)

Alternatively, while inside your sketch, there is a sketch constraint called Fix which you could use to lock your sketch in place. Note that it is not best practice and your sketch will no longer be parametric.

you can only move the parts of a sketch if you open it to edit.
So, you shouldn't have to worry about someone moving it by accident.

but if you are worried, select all the entities and add the "fixed" constraint
