Assembling an entire model from indivitual documents?

I have several different documents made up of part studios that I have created parts in. Some studios cover several different parts, some single parts. The whole makes up one locomotive assembly.
Within Onshape, is it possible to work with all of these different aspects to create one assembly? In other words draw from all that I have created to make a document that represents the completed locomotive?
My workflow has been a bit erratic, but I'm trying to clean things up so that I can present something that is the sum of many parts.
Sure could use some sound advise.
Thank you.
