'123D Make'-'Slicer' equivalent frame/slot featurescript?

I am wondering if there is a feature script out there that does the same thing '123D make' did in the past where you could take a shape and it would make a grid of flat panels that would then be slot cut so you could make a slot together model of the part. They then rolled that software into Autodesk slicer which now it no longer exists. Without it my workflow is very tedious. Now I know you can use the "laser joint" feature script but it will not make slot cuts in two parts. Then you can try and use the 'lap joint 'feature script and it almost does what I need but if the two parts are not flush at the top it does not really cut a slot in both parts and it does not handle multiple bodies at once. Any suggestions?

In the end I am trying to acheive something like this http://responsivedesign.de/cardboard-surfboards-i-quarter-iso-grid/

Here is a article on what I am talking about with 123D make http://fab.cba.mit.edu/classes/863.13/people/charles/04/index.html .

If this does not already exist can a feature script guru reach out to me and get me a quote on how much to have them make this for me?

I don't know of an existent version of this, but I'm happy to take a crack at implementing it! How soon would you want the feature? If it's not a rush I'll do it for free :)

@imants_smidchens I am in no huge rush. I would love for you to try.

Looks like there's already a FeatureScript for everything under the sun. Nonetheless, here is what I have thus far:
    Section Slicer FS.

Also sent you a message with the same link. Pls let me know if it could work for your needs, or if it needs additional changes. Demo gif attached.

thank you!  this is why I love Onshape... :-)
would it be hard to also add a radial section option?

As Stvn said above, a radial option would be amazing.  I was just wondering if you could add a separately define section number and spacing and whether to start at an edge or center.
The change I'd like to make is currently you can only define the number of slices and it will do that both directions. I would like to define the "Section Width" and "Section Space" separately for both x and u axes.
