Is there any limit on the maximum number of collaborators with whom we can share the project?

Currently, there is no mention of the maximum number of collaborators with whom the project can be shared in the help section.

    There is no limit on the number of shares although there is a practical limit of 4 people simultaneously editing the same doc.
