Can I choose what studios to insert a variable studio into?

I'm working in a large document with multiple folders, I want to have multiple variable studios that serve specific purposes for different components of my design, is there a way to choose what studios specific variable studios get inserted into?

    Yes - turn off “automatic” (at the bottom of the VS) then in each tab, go to the variable table on the right and “insert VS”.
