Difficulty making / turning several parts into One part

Up until now, the making of several parts into one part has been rather easy.  Select all the parts via shift key, boolean, click.  May I please have help making this one part?

    Sometimes when you attempt to Boolean complex objects, you can come across a non manifold condition, often onshape shows this by the certain parts suddenly turning red. I recommend this technique to bypass the manifold condition by thickening and chamfering on one of the mating surfaces:
