Can I change units to metres or millimetres?

Create a new document then click on top left button, three horizontal lines icon. Click on units , there you can choose the units for the document. mm , metres , inches etc

1) If user is using any unit frequently then he can set that unit with the help of account setting and place there preference. Now user can get required unit in new document which he given in account setting preference.
2) User can change unit in existing document.
3) User can change unit in new created document.
You can also use mixed units by simply adding the unit after the value (100mm or 4inch). This is handy in cases where you need to use for example 2 by 4 inch wood but like to use mm in length and overall dimensions.
when "dressed" (not sure if you use the same term) it naturally gets smaller, but is still referred to as being the same nominal size
