New user help on changing length of an object

Hello,
 I am trying to figure out the best way to change the distance between the top and bottom (red arrow in pic) of this object.  The object will change in height and the easiest way I can think of doing this without changing the top or bottom of the object, is to somehow just change the middle by cutting and stitching maybe?  I'm still new so there is a lot I have not learned just yet.  So for instance from the bottom yellow dot to the top yellow dot, lets say I need to make that distance 43mm.  Then when I need to change the length between the two to say 49mm, I would change the middle in the yellow square somehow without changing the top half hole and bottom half hole. 
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Is this native or imported? If native you should edit the features that define the distance. If imported, use Move Face and select all the faces of one end and drag.

This is native, I created it from scratch.  Do you mean all of the highlighted right?  Would I need to change the length of each individually or can I highlight them all like in the below screenshot and just change them all at once?

If it is native, then presumably the neck was created from an extrude with a length value - change that. Share a URL and we can take a look to advise (please also don't keep posting the same message, give me time to approve it first, thanks).

Thanks, both of you.  Going back to the extrude part, I was able to change it's value and it adjusted the length as needed.  I do apologize for the multiple postings.  On my end when I posted, it did not show or say anything and just brought me back to what i was typing acting as if it did not post it, I tried saving as draft, posting comment but it still looked like I was in edit mode.
