Export of metadata

I applied various metadata tags - "material" tags to given bodies, but when I exported the file to stp, acis, etc I could not find evidence of this metadata. It might be the case that this feature has not been implemented yet, or I have to check some options to force it to be out. I guess my question is, have I been dumb or is there some format that supports it, or something else? Thanks.

    I'm afraid those file formats doesn't support material information.

    I personally doubt if any non-native file formats support material metadata from any MCAD modeller.
    There is no overarching standardisation body that I know of.
