Not able to parametrize circular pattern

Rick_BoermaRick_Boerma Member Posts: 7
I was working on a parametric thumb screw, based on different bolt sizes, and have all parameters like diameter, height, etc all as configuration inputs.
I would also like to make the indents of the thumb screw parametric. It is possible to use variables for all dimensions except the amount of instances used in the circular pattern (encircled in red). I tried to find a work-around but have not been successful yet. Does anybody know how to get this to work? Or is this a function that will not work yet?

    Variables do not work for sketch pattern instances - this is by design (there is a full explanation why if you search the forum). Create one indent then use feature pattern instead.

    Thanks Neil, that works perfectly.

    I found the explanation as well;
