Mate Folder/Configuration Management

So the new mate folders are a big quality of life improvement for me and I think I have figured out how I prefer to use them but I just want to get some advice and see if this workflow could be improved.

I tend to organize parts in more of a mini subassembly instead of by type as I find it is easier to track down parts by looking it a folder that says "gasket" rather than for instance a folder that says "bolts"
With mate folders I prefer to do the same thing but with an additional folder called "final assembly" for mates relating parts in different folders. If/when I get a mate error or want to change how the parts relate to one I find it easier to just suppress this folder and limit the amount of instances I need to debug. If other people like this workflow was thinking of raising an improvement request to be able to automatically create these folders.
