Way(s) to create a symmetrically tapered tube

Searched and found several questions/posts about tapers but they are all somewhat different. My question is pretty straightforward. Want to create vacuum nozzles. So I am looking to make a tube (2mm shell thickness) with a taper that is symmetrical. What I've tried:
1. create a sketch with two circles of the correct dimensions and extrude it the distance that I want. Is there any way to manipulate one end of the extrusion to create the correct taper effect? I've seen videos where you can change the angle so that you end up with a taper but I prefer to define dimensions for a more exact taper. Don't see a way to do this.
2. created a sketch with all four circles and another sketch with a line. Tried to loft that (along the profiles) and path but there was an issue with the definition. A sweep also failed. Do I need to create each circle in its own sketch (four sketches total), two circles per sketch or all four circles in one sketch?
3. created a profile view and created a shell. This one worked though I can't seem to change one of the ends to add the next part of the nozzle to it. Kind of like what happened in step 1.
I think there are many ways to do this actually but what is the most correct/straightforward way to create a tapered tube? Note that the taper needs to be symmetrical, and not only on one portion/side of the tube. I can extrude and make shells, it is the symmetrical tapering that is messing me up. Thank you in advance.
I found these posts but they didn't quite answer my question:
