Is it possible to do a broken out section in an isometric view

Is it possible to do a broken out section in an isometric view? I want to do one in the drawing below in order to show the M6 threaded insert (see area outlined with spline)

    It probably is but I don't think I've ever tried that. Maybe someone else will know how. Alternatively, have you considered exploded views? I use them on all my assembly drawings. Usually one to show the parts and any special assembly notes. Then another isometric view to show it fully assembled. Showing the shaded view and making the parts different color also helps clarity. This works great even on black and white printers.

    Thanks Nick, I must admit to tunnel vision there, exploded view probably a much better option. Still interested to know if broken out section is possible though! Derek.

    Yes, you can do a broken out on an iso view. The trick (which had me confused before...) is that you need to select a reference entity for the "depth" of the broken section on another view!
