Help requested - sketch geometry appears open and new geometry does not render closed

tedmtedm Member Posts: 2
I was sketching then saw the normal grey of sketch objects disappeared.  The grey that normally indicates closed geometry, turned to white background.
Here is the sketch.

Now I added a rectangle that should be closed(?) and it renders as open. The center isn't selectable either.
it's strange to see!

I've tried Chrome and Firefox, a few different networks, and private tabs.
Tried a new sketch by copying geometry and pasting in with context menu, and Ctrl-V -- same results.
Would appreciate any thoughts to fix -thanks
In the meantime I'll start a new sketch to keep moving forward.- ted

Not sure what's going on here, but a word of advice - your sketch may not seem complex, but it is in relation to good practice.
