How to use the tangent mate correctly?

kees_bijkerkees_bijker Member Posts: 52

In this document called tangent mate trial, I tried to get the cam follower face to follow the face of the cam. The trouble as I can see it is that my cam face is a compound of several faces but the mate only recognises the first one you select.
What can I do to make this system to work so the cam follower is going to follow the whole face of the cam as the camshaft turns around?

Well, you could try making your arcs tangent in Sketch 2.

yea I made sure they were tangent but the inside track of the curved slot still shows four separate sections
