Custom material density value range has recently become very restrictive?

Something strange seems to be going on with setting custom material densities. A few months ago (guessing) I had set a part to have this custom material:

As of recently, if I try to change the value (to something smaller here, actually) I get this message:

I'm assuming this is just a bug but it's been around for a little while now. Have I done something incorrectly?

    Yep, that's definiitely a bug. If you set your length units to mm, change the density (in g/mm3), then back to m it will have the correct value.
