Frame Structure - Wiring AND Routing through 8020 Profiles

SANJRSANJR Member Posts: 8
Hi All,

I am trying to build a custom 3d printer as a part of my DIY project. I have built the frame using 8020 profiles using the frame feature of Onshape, that was cool. Now i am try assemble the axis on to the frame. Afterthat i have to do the wiring and routing, but i find it a bit challenging. As seen from the picture below, routing is done via the profiles horizontally and vertically.
Have tried using the freeform spline, but using a simple straight line and tangent arc around the curves are quite simple to my experience..... :|

Is there any way that i could integrate or merge the straight lines that were created on two different planes i.e., horizontal and vertical? And is there any other way that i can acheive this?

And secondly what i trying to create is an 3d, if i want to create a 2D electrical schematic is it possible in Onshape?
