How to move New Custom Property from "Pending" to "Active"

I'm trying to create several new custom properties. The first one I created is for an assembly and shows the status as "Pending", which I assume is why I cannot see the property in assembly properties. How do I move a new custom property from "Pending" to "Active" so that it is available to all users? TIA!

Just go back to the custom property and change the publish state to active, but remember to press the "save changes" button at the bottom of the page.

Thanks. After I posted this I realized I did not change the publish state. Lesson learned!
