Hi all,
So I'm quite new to Onshape/CAD in general. However an upcoming RC project I have necessitates I 3d print some parts, so naturally I have to get CAD files for them. In particular, I'm trying to build a multistage gearbox for a brushless motor, where two gears are connected to each other to get that multistage effect (see this file for what I'm on about: https://cad.onshape.com/documents/f20b5ef4eb24704451e689ae/w/44e67456e6e0191948e9c037/e/4b3596d0f17c5b967a7fc36f)
I know how to make individual gears in Onshape, however, once I've finished designing the large gear (mine is 80T), I want to add a smaller gear with 20T to it, however every time I try to draw it, it just embeds itself in the larger gear and I can't get it out. I've tried extruding it, however I'm using a double helical gear (for noise and wear/tear), so I can't extrude it out as I originally tried to do. How do I go about adding them together so they are like the gear shared above?
Thanks!
