OnShape and Safeguarding - Anyone have any issues at their school

Hi,

Looking to move our Design Engineering & Technology dept from Solidworks to Onshape (we have been evaluating it the last month and think it's outstanding).  My school is (rightly) very paranoid about safeguarding. (13-18 age range). I think one area of their concern is kids uploading photos to their OnShape accounts and sharing them with other students and the school IT admins not necessarily being able to view access the areas.

Does anyone know if an enterprise education version exists and whether it has the power to allow school admins to view kid's onshape files, or lock down this functionality (which I'd rather they didnt as being able to import pictures to use as decals is a key part of CAD).

Hoping for a call back from the rep's as I've left my details.

Rob

Onshape Education Enterprise does allow admins access to all student docs. It is not free, but it does provide many more benefits for managing classes and student submissions.

Hi Neil,  That sounds really promising, thanks for replying!    I've got a meeting at 10.30 to discuss this with IT... in leiu of not being able to speak to anyone in Sales before then (Seem to have to wait for a call back?) do you know an approximate price point for edu plan?  We're a school of 1200, though only around 250 Students study DET in any year (and never more than 45 at the same physical time), 4 staff, 2 techs  We've got no problem paying, though a ball park would be usefull to know (for comparison to Solidworks)
