Chamfer on a Loft Feature Result in Mismatched Edges

Hi All,
I used a simple loft between two faces to create the beginnings of a horse riding spur. A few steps later I'm attempting to chamfer an edge, but the resulting outer surfaces aren't quite aligned. When I then apply a fillet to smooth out the chamfer, the fillet cannot be applied. Here is the model: https://cad.onshape.com/documents/6701ce12bd50fe1d682ea938/w/f935442da346fe2b26f2fd65/e/41566febd29b8af46bbc8e55?renderMode=0&uiState=66875d0efa07331d6679d1e0
Image 1: Chamfer 1 is applied with no issues...
Image 2: Chamfer 2 applies with no issues, but you can see that the new walls are not aligned. The chamfer did not "follow" the loft curvature, and the subsequent fillet only propagates the issue further...
There is a folder at the end called "Chamfer and Radius Try 2" in which I try to loft/surface/face blend (with wall trims) to mimic a chamfer, but it has similar results...
What am I missing here, that allows chamfer 1 to work just fine, but chamfer 2 to result like mentioned above?
Thanks!

I guess Chamfer likes to attach to either flat or revolved faces. Loft makes a "blended" face that chamfer can't attach to. Is there a different type of feature that slides a straight line along two adjacent faces that is acceptable to you?
Ya looks like chamfer is not able to blend but when I ran an extrude between 2 faces it works. Then fillet works just fine and blends nicely around the loft.

I think all you needed to do was a replace face when the issue popped up. As for why it needed to be done?… Who knows…I find it more productive not knowing in some cases. haha.
agree with MDesign.
split the face → replace face.
or try use the face blend feature with a chamfer type. it allows more control over trim surfaces. takes some time to find the proper settings, but its a very powerful feature…
