Is it possible to apply curvature limits to splines?

Hello,

I am currently in the thralls of cable management (oh joy) on my assembly and am using 3D splines to connect various endpoints and sweeping along them to generate cables.

One thing I'm struggling with is sometimes the splines bend quite tightly which would be an unrealistic bend for the cables/tubes/hoses. I'd like to apply some kind of limit on the curvature radius of the spline but don't see an option for this. Is this possible through splines? Is it possible through a different avenue?

I can add additional points for the spline to follow but setting up the planes and sketches is time consuming and difficult to adjust once made.

You might want to try these custom features - you can't limit the spline but it will tell you if you violated the minimum bend radius.

Also, just in case this isn't obvious, you can analyze the curvature of a spline while you're creating it (or after). Hit shift-C, and make sure "Previewed edges and faces" and "Minimum radius" are both checked on.

@NeilCooke thanks for the additional info! I did not know about the curvature analysis tools in OnShape, this will be useful to check bend radii.
