How do I pick an entire face

ron_morelandron_moreland Member Posts: 90 ✭✭

I'm trying to loft a simple rectangle. It's outlined another drawing made of 3 other shapes. To loft, I want the rectangle, but I keep getting the outlines of the other shapes. In the image the yellow outline is the shape I'm getting. It's not part of the sketch with the grey rectangle. Loft will not let me pick the rectangle. It's very frustrating.

I'm going to answer my own question:
I can pick the components in as entities in one profile. I thought that was the solution, but I couldn't figure out how to do it. I just did.

You want to enable the "Disable imprinting" option in your sketch. Or you can just select the several different sections that combine to makeup the rectangle.
