How to create a REVIT compliant Library of Parts
I have been asked by a client to supply a contractor with 3d parts that can be added to a REVIT file of the whole building site. I don't want to send a 3d models of our complete product, but would rather send edited files that give overall sizes and the rough shapes but without the details of how it all goes together. ( things like holes, wood joints, bolts etc., fasteners etc)
Currently I can export the complete assembly as a STEP file and then IMPORT into SW and then export as the IFC 4 file the contractor can import. In SW I could edit out the parts that not required. However can this be done before in Onshape?
Anyone got any tips on how to de-feature the parts. I have looked in the ONshape help but can't find anything, but that can just be my searching abilty.

I created this feature. It's not as comprehensive as what might be in SW and no IFC export, but it's a start.
