Exporting a sketch as DXF

thomas_hirsch137thomas_hirsch137 Member Posts: 7

I have a sketch which is circular, centered on the origin, and about 50 cm wide. I have the measurement unit set to "cm" in my workspace.

When I export the sketch as DXF, I get something that looks like this (viewing in Inkscape):

So this was scaled to a couple centimeters diameter, and also the origin was changed from center to the bottom left of the page.

Why is that, and what would I need to do to just get the exact same dimensions in the resulting image, and have it centered on the page?

Thanks and best regards

Thomas

move (transform) your sketch away from the origin. dimension from the origin to the center of your sketch in the x and y direction half the page size
