helical sweep problems

I'm trying to helical sweep a "house" shaped cross-section ( a rectangle on three sides, but an equilateral triangle for the "fourth" side) on the ID of a cylindrical surface. but the dialog box will not allow me to select the helix I've already created on the cylindrical surface. I'm trying to create an internal thread on an ID where the cylinder the helix is on is the OD of the mating external thread.. the rectangular part of the "house" profile is embedded in the body of the "nut" so that the two bodies can merge without issue. why can't I select the helix?

Expand the curves menu below your parts list and select it from there.

i figured it out eventually, had to select the curve in the graphics window, not from the feature tree like you can with the sketch. im used to solidworks that allows you to pick from the feature tree.

Sometimes, working with the section view active, will make the selection of internal geometry/features easier.
