Why cant I start a new document

in General
On Shape is all different now? I cant open new docs? Cant make a new drawing? We have mto pay now?? $1500 a year is way too much for most of us to afford. Maybe $1500 for a lifetimne but a year?? Thats a lot. I can see $200 a year but $1500 is outa reach for most of us..

Nothing has changed since your last post. Did you talk to your account manager?
(A) For design and engineering companies, $1500 a seat is very reasonable, especially compared with the cost of employing the person who sits in the seat.
(B) For makers and occasional users it's obviously a lot of money.
OnShape is targeting itself at (A), which is reasonable because that's were there is a good market for companies who will happily pay a tiny fraction of the labor cost to ensure that labor is as productive as it can be.
If OnShape also wanted to go after the (B) market, how would OnShape be able to really tell if a user is in the (A) or (B) category? And how would they offer an affordable product to (B) market without cannibalizing or alienating their (A) market?
