Toolbar overlap challenges

heepoheepo Member Posts: 6

Hello - I'm a brand new user. This might be a dumb question, and I apologize if this is already answered somewhere else. I searched multiple ways and wasn't able to find any reference to this.

While in the Quickstart tutorial, I was trying to follow along in another window; however, the toolbars at the top seem to be locked in place while overlapping with each other. I tried finding a way to move, modify, or hide them, but I haven't had any luck. I assumed this might be an issue since I didn't actually own the document. So I tried creating my own document and ended up with the same issue.

Attached an image (see the top blue menu bar and the bar it is blocking behind it)

Is this potentially an issue with my browser? I'm using the latest version of Chrome, so I figured not.

Thanks for any help!

Well, it shouldn't be blue for a start. Try a different browser to rule that out.

Very odd. It's fixed on Firefox, but then I'm running into other issues (tried to sketch a rectangle, but nothing came up with the first corner/click. Right now I'm having to hover over the bottom of the icons to read what they are in Chrome so that I can sketch something.

Are you on Linux? Some dodgy distros can have problems. Check you have the latest everything drivers and see what https://cad.onshape.com/check says

Hmm, no - Windows 11. I did the check, and it look all good (see below).

Oddly enough, I tried it on my laptop, and it works fine on Chrome. I've been having issues with Chrome not wanting to Sync correctly on this computer for a while, so maybe I need to reinstall it and see what happens.

Reinstalling Chrome did the trick! Thanks for helping me troubleshoot!
