Combining Mate Connectors

I have a slider that I want to be able to rotate 90 degrees down when the slider reaches the end of its travel. I can't figure out how to both make it slide along the proper slot, then rotate it once at the end of its throw. Either the slider works, or the rotate, but not both. Ideas? Thanks!

You can indeed put a rotate mate on top of a slider mate. It works, but you need some sort of helper geometry to fix them to. In your case, that would be the bolt that slides in the slot and rotates in the hole. You know there is a pin/slot mate, too?

That would handle both, though you'll have to find some other condition that initiates the rotation respectively blocks it while Part1 is still inside Part1. A joint does not rotate all by itself, so I guess there will be some yet unknown part that actuates the joint, right? Maybe you could use that.
Hey @weston_thompson499,
This is my solution but I cheated a bit 😉: https://cad.onshape.com/documents/41c8116b5567a69a1f2adee9/w/df2f421878c86b072c4659c8/e/ac9ed4e46856d3a4ffb66402
