Exporting threads to stl or 3mf for printing

Hello! I just got into the amazing world of onshape a couple days ago. I am trying to make a holder for a usb microscope. I was hoping to screw the holder into a base. That way, I can use the base for other "holders" in the future. It seems the base part exports with internal threads from onshape to stl. However, I am having trouble exporting the holder which has external threads. When I export the holder in either stl or 3mf format the threads are not visible in the slicer. I am using bambustudios for printing. Ill add the onshape screenshot showing (in green) where the threads are and the bambulabs screenshot, showing now threads.

What an amazing software! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a million in advance!

I'd recommend the ThreadCreator Tool. It works quite well, even if it adds threads to inner zylinders instead of carving them out.

When I use it in sizes from M5 to M8, I use a cylinder diameter of x mm for Mx screws and a diameter of x+0,4mm for threaded holes (inner cylinder). With these I can use either printed screws/nuts or normal industrial screws/nuts in any combination.

Simply try it out printing them and test with their metal counterparts to find your preferences.
