Why Inscribed/Circumscribed Polygon feature seem represented differently?

in General
Good day!
This might be a simple question with a simple answer. Still, I'm curious to ask why Onshape's Inscribed and Circumscribed Polygons are represented interchangeably compared to the traditional meaning of the terms?
I noticed this when I was trying to formulate some computed variables concerning the diameter and length of the sides of a polygon. All good now with the variables.🙂

good point and a quality suggestion for one of the last two maintenance releases.
That's true. Good find. Until now, I just thought "Hey, this is not working how I'm used to, but maybe it is just another strange american way to deal with the most usual things. It is possibly an imperial polygon." and used it as it is. But google reveals it is in fact just wrong, world wide. Even Grok agrees.
