Better Visual Accessibility for Sketches with Errors

Rowan_JansensRowan_Jansens Member Posts: 2

When a sketch fails to regenerate properly, Onshape notifies the user that the sketch is broken by changing the name from black to red in the feature tree. This subtle change can be hard to locate on screens with poor color contrast, or by people with abnormal color vision. Ive found myself on numerous occasions, switching to dark mode just to be able to pick out which sketch is causing my part to have a regeneration error.

A possible solution would be to change the font weight in addition to color, to create stronger visual contrast between working and broken sketches. Additionally, a symbol could be added, such as is the case with broken features where a yellow exclamation will appear by the feature name.

We are aware of this issue and will be addressing it soon, but in the meantime, use the filter at the top and select :errors
