Keep edges when extruding split line as surface

Does anyone know how I can keep the edge when extruding a sketch with a split line as a surface? Here is an example of what I am talking about:

    No idea what your trying to achieve by doing that but you could use composite curve to 'mark' the original location before using move boundary.

    I can't see what you're trying to achive or what it is. Do you want to create a tangent edge in the new surface?

    What's wrong with splitting the extruded face after the fact?

    @jelte_steur814 I could, but I just wanted to make sure there wasn't a simpler solution I was missing.
