Hello ONSHAPE TEAM!!!!
Hope you guys are doing great.
Is there any news/pricing regarding SubD modeling capabilities within the Onshape Platform?
I'm in the middle of several vehicle designs that require class-A, curve continuous results.

Cheers,
- Jeremy

    Hey Jeremy, how's it going?

You can get nPower through the Onshape App Store (appstore.onshape.com or the big button bottom left of the Onshape documents page). It is free for small shapes - for something more complex it is currently $60pm. Hope this helps you and good luck on your vehicle designs.

Power Surfacing for Onshape keeps failing on me.
On every Part Studio I tried to import so far I get this error, after which the application crashes:

Also, the document browser is quite unresponsive.

I also agree that it would be nice to have this capability integrated in Onshape.

Hi @DriesV - that's not good.  Can you open a support ticket with nPower and report back what they say?

Is this Power Surfacing working for anyone?
I haven't heard back from them yet regarding the issue.

The only hiccup was not being able to install the app on a MacAir....It worked fine on the PC as a standalone subD generator and imports to Onshape part studio without issues.

Can you try some other import types (STEP maybe)?  We can't replicate your problem, but we are wondering if maybe it has to do with your settings.  Please try with a STEP file and let us know if that works.

I tested on a virtual machine the other day and had no issues at all.
It seems to be limited to my machine/installation.
    Hmmm.

Is there any prospect that onshape will get Sub-D in the near future? The Power Surface App is long gone (and never really worked) and Sub-D modeling in Fusion 360 is a killer-feature - for a fast complex Product Design workflow it is a must! (there is not much love here for Fusion... but have a look at all the Sub-D Tools!)

    I understand pgi3d is a plugin from a 3rd party but a black background???
Please at least give us the option to change the colors of the document workspace.
White in onshape kills my eyes and the black of Phi is enough to make me want to use Fusion 360....
Please team, buy this plug in, develop, enhance and improve, unify the modelling UI and add color options to the background modelling environment.
