Assembly 'folders'?

Hi there,

Is there any way to create folders inside an assembly? I am throwing something together and don't want to have to go back and recreate my entire assembly with subassemblies.

Hi @onshaper - there are no folders in assemblies (or part studios), but you can select multiple parts, right click and select "move to new subassembly".

@onshaper , User cannot create folder in Onshape document. If your requirement is after creating main assembly you want to create sub-assembly then this option is available in Onshape. You can select required parts, right click and select "move to new sub-assembly" option. You can get desired result as sub-assembly.

Hey guys, thanks for letting me know about subassemblies. I was trying to find a method that didn't require making a new tab. Cheers
