Mouse over on feature highlights feature and geometry .... but not other way around?

Mouse over on feature highlights feature and geometry .... but mouse over on geometry does not highlight feature?
Is this specific to my client side setup?
Or is this something that I should put in an enhancement request for?

    I just rmb click on either sketch or definition, tree will update then. 

    I know it's not perfect, but you can navigate large trees this way.
