Comments, screenshots, Sketch book

hello all

while constructing and after for documentation, I have to pack some notes (text, links, screenshots) together and most useful, they are all inside the workspace instead another cloud.

I can import pdf's, pictures and so on. fine.
but often I make only a screenshot somewhere, even out of a larger pdf or from web as a snippet. Then this can be imported.
disadvantages: must first save the screenshot - because the is no direct paste - and each will be an own tab. not so clearly and tighty.

comments are great because a direct link to an entity is possible.
disadvantages: does not survive a workspace copy - sorry, I am a beginner and I have to clear the history from time to time. also picture can't be pasted. and http:// - text is not available as a link (ok, super minor item).

sketches are place to hold several pictures together. ok.
disadvantages: using text isn't so handy there..., access only over part studio and then sketch....

drawings: did not find any import for images or free text...

is there a more convenient way to hold some notes and screenshots together? how are working others?
thanks in advance, best

I have taken to adding a branch at the root of my version and history tree and adding my photos, scanned pdf's etc here, I didn't want to add them in the main node as it gets very messy with all the extra tab's, the other option is to store on dropbox or google drive etc, but its nice to keep it all together in Onshape. With this method you will loose these if the document is copied but that's not an issue if I am a pro (not space saving) and normally if I was copying to do a new variations I wouldn't want the marked drawings sketches and photos anyhow. I know it's not the best solution but has works on a few of my projects. see video on this discussion.

It maybe nice to have a Onshape Project Note section linked to the document that works a bit like evernote with an option to keep or discard when copying.

@brucebartlett hopefully Onshape will allow a copy which includes branches.

with the improvements from 17th june  there is now an Insert image in drawings. cool.

but: why must the document with the imported image keeped all the time? otherwise an error 404 will result....
or stacking the unused picture-tab into a folder would be useful for more clarity

note with leader does not work on a picture while balloon does it. but the the endpoint of balloon can never be repositioned, springs back all the time.
